Position 1 – E-commerce Merchandiser

Role Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our e-commerce platform, optimizing product listings, and implementing strategies to drive sales and enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the day-to-day operations of our e-commerce platform, including product listings, inventory management, pricing, promotions, and order fulfilment.
  2. Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and customer service, to ensure alignment of e-commerce activities with overall business goals and objectives.
  3. Develop and implement strategies to increase online sales and drive customer acquisition and retention, leveraging digital marketing tactics, SEO, and other relevant techniques.
  4. Monitor e-commerce performance metrics and analyze data to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement, such as conversion rate optimization, cart abandonment reduction, and average order value increase.
  5. Develop and update products catalogues on ecommerce sites.
  6. End to end handling of customer leads, product enquiries, customer orders. Which includes accepting orders in system, updating status to customers, coordination with internal teams, for delivery of the material and ensuring payment is received from customer.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in digital marketing, and continuously seek opportunities to enhance our digital presence and effectiveness.
  8. Monitor and manage online reputation, responding to customer inquiries and feedback in a timely and professional manner.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
  • Proven experience in digital marketing, preferably within the chemical trading or any B2B related industry.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and best practices, including SEO, SEM, social media marketing, email marketing, and content marketing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content tailored to different digital channels.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, such as Google Analytics, social media management tools, email marketing software, etc.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights to drive marketing strategy.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
